Too much sugar and calories , drop to 1000 a day, no sugar, no fat and no carbs

Eating the same thing every day cannot be good for your body. Nourishment requires variety. And fasting too much is going to make her binge

DP. Then use the above meal as a sample that can be tweaked for variety: salmon, kale, avocado, berries. No need to complicate.
Start with bigger servings and gradually scale down.

The overweight people I know aren’t going for salmon or kale. That’s the problem. But if you refuse the junk they feed themselves, you come off as a food snob.

Throw in a multi vitamin, green juice (kale spinach cucumber celery) sweetened with a little fruit (pick one half of: apple, orange, carrot, strawberry etc...). Nutrition requirements met.

Fasting is a tool. If you know you will be attending a birthday diner/celebration at your favorite restaurant/movies and dinner with the family.... eat less leading up to the event and fast the next day. No harm done. Weight loss will keep trending down.

at the same time people who lose weight and keep it off tend to eat the same things over and over again. Maybe not exactly the same things but having a few breakfast options, a few lunch options nd changing up dinner. It reduced needing to add up calories fresh every day.

Not eating enough is not a thing. It is biologically and chemically impossible to NOT lose weight by NOT eating enough. Come on people - remember high school?? Calories in < calories out = weight loss. It REALLY REALLY is this simple.

Oh my god. We’re still in this loop? Still?

Yes because people still want to complicate weigh loss.

Weight loss IS complicated. Our bodies are complicated. We are not simple engines where we can predict exactly how any fuel input will be burned.

No it really is not complicated. Eat fewer calories than you burn you lose weight. You can eat high carb, low carb, fast 20 hour or eat every house, all way will lead to weight loss. Sure we don't necessarily know exact values, but with time and patience you can figure it out. For example, eat 1600 cal every day for a month while weighing yourself daily. If at the end of 30 days with at least 90% consistency your weigh is trending down and you've lost at least 0.5 lbs a week then you found a calorie amt that puts you in a deficit. If at the end of the month you haven't lost much adjust down slightly. and so forth.

Now, I am not saying that weight loss is easy. Food and our relationship with food can be complicated. Eating in a deficit it not easy. Breaking bad habits is not easy. But the laws of thermodynamic do not change.

This will never sink in because people looooove fat shaming. It’s their sport of choice.

The constant assumption that overweight and fat people are effing morons is fat shaming.

Strongly disagree with this. I have never known someone overweight who simply did not eat too much. It’s very simple. Stop putting so much stuff in your mouth.
