Sorry to be a killjoy. I love holidays and celebrating with family and friends and enjoying food and I even like plenty of decorations, just not the plastic crap ones, and the yard inflatables are sort of the poster child for "plastic Christmas crap." I'm not a grinch but I can't get behind these.

Tacky but fun.
My favorite tackiest was Homer Simpson in a Santa Claus suit in a sleigh on top of a house in my old neighborhood.
But the one that cracked me up every time I passed it was a big inflatable manger scene. Joseph looked exactly like the lumberjack Yukon Cornelius from the old Rudolph TV special.

+1 for both fun and tacky. If it was up to me only, I wouldn’t have them at my house but DH loves them (and keeps wanting to buy more) and the kids get a kick out of them too. They also enjoy walking around and seeing the neighbors.

I think most people who use them know they're tacky but they're tacky in an ironic way. They've taken on a life of their own like the Ugly Christmas Sweater. It's fun and while we will never do it, I enjoy seeing them in other peoples' yards.

We had one about a decade ago that my then-toddler LOVED. We added 2 more and kept it at that for years until the neighborhood kid told us she loved her inflatables and wished she could have some, but her mom said they were tacky. So yeah, I don't actually love inflatables but my yard is full of them.

I really think they're tacky and I don't find them fun. I prefer lights. My kids like them, and I'll drive them around to look at them in others' yards. But personally, I think they're tacky and it's not happening at our house, sorry not sorry.

I used to dislike them, but now I’m on board with “tacky and fun/awesome”. Especially when people get creative or have some kind of theme. Like the one house in our neighborhood that goes all out with a “Christmas in the tropics” theme, with inflatable palm trees, flamingoes in Santa hats, Santa on a surfboard, reindeer lounging in beach chairs with sunglasses on. It’s awesome.
