I agree! I’m a 14 step 10. I would need a $20k to $25k increase to take on a supervisory role. Congress and the president needs to fix this pay cap issue, as well as raise executive pay. If their goal is to have horrible talent in top positions, then by all means keep status quo.

Yep, this hasn't been fixed in years.

Yup! I’m a capped SES (203k). I got an offer at PWC for $282k a couple weeks ago. My agency is doing everything they can to convince me to stay.

I'll take it! Over $5200 for me and I'm possibly getting a QSI (pay pool bonuses haven't been announced yet). Either way it's nice.

OPM has the pay rates already published. 4.86% for DC.

The pay tables are in the order. So if you scroll through the 50+ pages, you’ll see the pay with locality tables. This isn’t the easiest way to view them. But they are there. As folks said over and over again, the pay cap is raise to $183,500

ok, i'll bite. how did you come up with that number?

at DMV COLA onto the base pay in that fedpay table. I know 15/10 will actually be capped at $183,500. but it's interesting to see that number should be 12k higher if the cap isn't tied to level 4 of the executive schedule. For a temporary fix they should tie it to level 3 of the executive schedule. that's probably a 2 year band-aid fix.

Is there a link or citation for this? Would love to see it!

You obviously don't look at NASA. I can tell you that at NASA we are hiring some of the best and brightest, not the 40th percentile. We have graduates from the top schools who work at the agency. There are engineers and scientists who come from the top of their fields to work at NASA.

But you continue to try to pump up your fragile ego by saying that you're better than we are.

I’m reminded of that Jesus quote …forgive them for they do not know lol or something like that. These folks are just ignorant of the caliber of civil servants

I am a fed, and absolutely work with some of the best and brightest. However, sitting right next to them are mouth breathers that leave you scratching your head as to how and why.
