Michigan is a huge school - the top 1/3 it’s worth it.
The bottom 2/3 could end up with the same opportunities while going to a better lifestyle school
That’s nonsense. Michigan offers a superlative education that Boulder could only dream of providing.

Coat of living is sky high in LA. UCLA or USC only make sense as an OOS student if you get merit money or have family money. The kind of parents where you don’t blink an eye when your kid asks for $2000 for a night out. Even among students, there is a lot of plastic surgery, flashy cars/clothes and ubiquitous consumption.
