They vote. A lot. And they’re okay with people dying so they can keep their toys rather than voting for a safer society. They also care more about their feelings toward guns than they do about things like statistics and facts.
That is absolutely not the reason we haven't had gun control enacted. Something like 70% of American are for sensible gun control measures. It's because GOP elected officials are beholden to the NRA.
Biden signed the most comprehensive gun safety bill in 30 years. It's the will of our elected officials.
The policies Americans want and who they ultimately vote for are two completely different things. Americans also overwhelmingly support single-payer health care, higher taxes on wealthy people, higher minimum wage, government funded childcare, and tuition-free public universities. Indeed, if Americans actually voted in line with their policy preferences, we'd be in a much better place. However, many voters would rather vote for Republican culture warriors who virtue signal about critical race theory and scaremonger about crime and socialism than Democrats who are actually aligned with their policy preferences.

That’s just strange
Pretty solid defense against the hate crime charge. How can it be a hate crime if he’s a member of the group? Very clever lawyer.
