Our school pools contributions and the organizers ask for $150-250 from each parent. The teachers ended up getting $500 each. I think this is good because otherwise the floaters get forgotten.

When my kids were in preschool, the funds were pooled (all cash to the school was divided among all the teachers evenly - so a teacher in 3s classroom who had fewer kids than the teacher in the 4s classroom didn't receive less $$). We gave a month's tuition at Christmas for the teachers

I'm sorry, but $50 us an insult. We always gave one month's tuition.


50 per teacher x 20 kids per class = $1000 per teacher. That’s 1-2 weeks pay. How in the works is this an insult?
