Then Patrick Leahy President Pro Tempore would become POTUS. They think Biden is too old to be POTUS. Leahy is 2 years older. He would become the oldest President in history.
It is true that should they be able to impeach and convict him that the new Speaker of the House is fourth in line. But there is absolutely no way that they would have the grounds nor have the votes to impeach and convict three Democratic Presidents in order to get the Speaker of the House to elevate to the Presidency.
In any event, with the Senate now being in the hands of the Democrats, they won't get the first conviction, even if by some weird chance they were able to actually succeed in impeaching Biden, despite the fact that he has not committed any impeachable offenses.
1. The line of succession is as follows: VP>Speaker of the House>Senate President Pro Tem. The Speaker is SECOND in the line of succession after the VP. Pretty basic stuff.
2. A Senator cannot be impeached. Also pretty basic stuff.
3. Leahy didn’t run for reeelection and a new President Pro Tem will need to be selected in January. Until then he remains THIRD in the line of succession after the Speaker.
4. Conviction upon Impeachment requires a two-thirds majority so it does not matter who has the majority.
Other than that …

Mo Brooks is one of the dumbest people in Congress.

Dems/Biden can block if the want
That is fine., What happens when a fetus becomes unviable at 22 weeks? Make the woman carry it to term?
Exceptions could be built in (eg, life of the mother). Democrats would likely lose it though wanting all of nothing.
Sure, you put your bureaucracy and death panels up against the message of restricting freedom that is overwhelmingly resounding even with conservative women. Let’s do it.
I really hope they listen to this guy! Freedom Caucus rules mean any bill gets an amendment process, so this would be a great opportunity to have lots of women past 15 weeks testify about their experiences being sent in 6 hour ambulance rides, being forced to carry dead, skull-less fetus’, and bringing their own foul discharge to emergency rooms. I welcome the opportunity to highlight what a sick bunch these Republicans are. It will help people feel confident they voted the right way.
No, it doesn’t have to be this but you are not want all of nothing, so now we will likely have nothing for along time. Nice.
You have been making this failed argument for months. Many of us don’t have “nothing” and your proposed 15 weeks takes rights away from us. We want the rest of the women in the country to have the rights those of us living in places too civilized to tell child rape victims to seek care out of states still have, not to have less for everyone in some bizzare effort at pretending to compromise with people who accept dead women as a feature of their policy.
So … still all of nothing. SMH. Exceptions for rape and health of the mother can be made. You’re exhausting.
