Ok... so not Facebook and Netflix, but Apple, Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Paypal, Capital One, Deloitte, Goldman Sachs, Accenture, Cisco, Lockheed, ....
you know... enough to get by.
+1
I feel like there are certain posters who actually believe that if you don’t attend a “name brand” school, you won’t get hired at these companies. That’s just not true. GMU is *highly* respected for CS - as well as other majors. You don’t have to throw away a fortune at a cash cow like, say, Northeastern, to be hired at these places.

Job searching (recruiting), food, culture/atmosphere, and campus at VT are outstanding. Students LOVE it there. But, as a high school senior, your DC needs to find the place that they love. If it's WM or UVA or GMU all are fine. Find your happy place!
But it's in Blacksburg!

VT has way more Stem gen ed and UVA and W&M have more liberal arts gen ed is what I have understood. All 3 are equal just the college experience may be different for each.
If anyone can share recent exp that will be helpful.
W&M has CS?
