While I agree with everyone (except OP) about what ASAP means, I disagree that it’s a “nice” way of saying “now.” It’s kind of barky and rude. I usually say “Please prioritize this - we need it in 30 minutes” or something.

OP here. To clarify “When you get around to it”- I meant you do this thing once you got around to your other priorities.

Clearly, we are not unanimous about asap.

ASAP is a nice way of saying NOW. If time is not of the essence, say “at your convenience” or something similar.

it doesn't mean this: r “As soon as possible” meaning NOT right away, but when you get a round to it.

It means do it now. and quickly, and as quickly as now can be done.
