Crying politicians often are trying to manipulate public opinion. Frisch cried in public about the perceived risk to his husband if called upon to teach in person; many parents cried in private about the impact on Frisch’s decisions on their kids’ education, social development, and well-being.

Looks like three posts in a row were written by Frisch or an FCDC insider. Not surprised, but they also fail to acknowledge how bad many of Frisch's decisions have been (for example, Blake Lane/Dunn Loring) and how he's widely disliked because he comes across as so blatantly self-centered.

If he's in the "mainstream," it's only because the School Board has drifted so far left into crazy land that posturing and poor decision-making became accepted as the norm.

This has to be some kind of sock puppet who keeps writing this stuff. Compared to so many people who have been on. The SB in the last 15 years or more, Frisch has stood out as being unremarkable. He’s well spoken, pretty responsive in my experience, and has been in the mainstream on the vast majority of SB decisions. He doesn’t waste board time and he doesn’t grandstand. So why the hate? Because he’s gay? Because he has a teacher in his family?

As for supporting virtual learning during the months before a COVID vaccine was widely available, he was certainly in the mainstream for that. Only Megan differentiated herself by being grandstanding and argumentative with the Superintendent so she could walk the tightrope of looking like she supported those who wanted all buildings open while in reality staying in the mainstream and supporting temporarily virtual learning.

It just strikes me as really fishy that there is this concerted scrum of negativity about Frisch when he doesn’t stand out in actual school board meetings. He doesn’t bloviate or ask stupid questions. He doesn’t waste time. He’s not a grandstander. I don’t know what his over all track record is in terms of responsiveness but he has responded to me the few times I wrote to more than one SB rep.

Personally, the biggest red flag that screams to me about this other candidate Holly is that she brags about having Chap Peterson’s endorsement. Chap! is no progressive Democrat, so I question her bona tides as a progressive if she is touting his support.

Why is it a surprise that some people consider elections to lower level offices a step toward aiming for higher office? If someone runs for higher office without having been elected to loser offices, we say they aren’t qualified or have no experience. But then whenever people aim for higher office after they have had experience, people blast them for using their current office as a stepping stone. You’re damned if you do and damned if you don’t. People just love to hate politicians no matter what they do.

They haven’t set the date yet for the special election, but it will be soon. Keep checking here for updates. It’s an open primary so Republicans can vote in it too — show up and bring all your neighbors. Voting out a horrible candidate is something both sides of the aisle should agree on here

If Frisch lost the primary to replace Mark Keam, could he retain his School Board seat? I'd just like to see him GONE completely from public office!

You give those who have endorsed Frisch too much credit. Many of them, especially his School Board colleagues, are just as bad as he is and also need to be voted out.
