Maybe they need the witnesses because he is not able to speak English?
It can be difficult to find a translator for Mongolian. That comes up more often in Arlington than you would think.
Cops have an online translation service idiot.
By online I mean the can call them 24x7
And it can take them a few hours to find a Mongolian translator. It's best to schedule in advance with the language line for obscure languages. While you can call them 24x7, it can take time to find a qualified translator.
Lady what are you talking about? This happened over 3 days ago.
Why hasn’t the passenger spoken out? Are they still hospitalized?
Because car crashes are non-events to media and police in almost all cases. Why would the passenger speak out? Who would they speak to?
Internalize this: the outcome is going to be that the driver made a mistake and it was an “accident.” there will be no repercussions- maybe a speeding ticket.

If alcohol was ruled out it definitely could be a medical event.
Or possibly a branch fell out of a tree, the driver dodged around it, and the branch was destroyed in the restaurant fire. Or it was a boulder.
No boulders or large trees in Courthouse. Perhaps he was dodging an electric scooter, angry biker or pedestrian glued to their phone.
There's several large trees along Wilson Boulevard in that area. They had to switch to permeable asphalt around the bases.

The passenger on the other hand....interesting how there's nothing about him and how he may have contributed to the accident. This was the passenger's fault. Probably got in a fight with the driver about where to go or drop him off.
How do you know the passenger was at fault?
