If it's her whole meal, I think she's weird for not eating it with the entrees, but OP still should not say anything.

If she orders an appetizer and an entree, then OP is truly a batsh*t crazy, terrible person.

The bolded makes no sense. If everyone is only eating one course, of course they should be together, and OP would be fine saying something. That's not what's happening, though, because no restaurant woudl serve single courses like that. OP just needs to shut her mouth and let her friend enjoy her appetizer.

If you’re that hungry, OP, order an appetizer and only eat half; take the rest home. Or, have a small snack before you go out. Do you expect your meal to arrive 10 minutes after you order it? Her appetizer shouldn’t delay your entrees by that much.

I think it's pretty clear everyone is ordering an entree and the wife is the outlier ordering an appetizer too. I think the latter is pretty normal so asking the servers to bring out the woman's appetizer and entree at the same time is off. OP is complaining she is the outlier who wants 2 courses instead of 1, making them wait for entrees. If she were just ordering an appetizer as her meal it would all be brought at once.

Appetizers are designed and often pre-prepped so that they can go out more quickly than entrees. If you send an app and an entree at the same time, the entree might have been sped up a little bit, but the app will be significantly delayed. Usually.

Why not pipe up and say something like..’ actually I’m starving. Could you pls bring my entree out at the same time as her app”?

Then you get to eat when you want and don’t have to be rude asking her to wait.

I would probably be annoyed too. I'm guessing she lingers over her appetizer and it's more like 20-25 minutes. I am not on a budget to have an app and an entree and a drink and a dessert, so I would probably be annoyed, but I would never say anything.
