Except that as a Charter I would think the school could tell kids they had to go back to their DCPS. I would totally boycott if I thought it would help.

The CDC has DC at medium spread. This is all so ridiculous.

Medium seems likely for years. Though, at some point data may just not be available. I keep considering just moving to MA. High quality public education plus sanity.

We are currently at low community spread status in DC. I am a DCI parent, so after we received this notice, I went to check our status. I am not thrilled with masks at medium spread, but we aren't actually at that now.

This strikes me as pretty silly at this point. I could see a middle ground--mask required if the student isn't vaccinated, maybe?--but just flat-out requiring masks seems half a year behind the times.

Just got the email. I'm so friggin annoyed. I'm not usually a squeaky wheel but I think this is going to make me fire off a letter. Not that it will have any impact.

Seriously? This honestly makes me rule Inspired Teaching completely out for the lottery. Not just because of masks, but because of what it indicates about the culture.

Same. I keep saying that l will just wait out one more year, But then I realized how absurd that is.

Or you could just move to a DCPS. Half of us aren’t dealing with any of this anymore.

DCPS comes with its own alternative set of problems for my kids.

This city's education just generally sucks.

From what source did you obtain that info? I hope it's true.

Cooper was making them mask indoors during orientation.

In the back to school email sent out on Friday to 2nd St parents, it was clearly stated that masks were optional.
