The Democratic Governors Association funded Cox’s primary campaign, not the GOP.

I voted mostly D but not comptroller. I don’t vote party lines., it’s lazy. I’m a typical suburban white woman but republicans mostly blew it with abortion and trumpeting for me. Would have voted for hogan but even hogan wouldn’t endorse cox. Republicans had all the cards lined up (economy, crime, illegal immigration) and threw away their hand imo. We’ll see if they learn for 2024.

It would certainly have been closer, but I am not sure in this national environment that Schultz would have been able to win. Particularly when her history of promoting anti-abortion legalization in the Assembly is taken into account.

I voted straight D and assume Republicans are Trumpers. Even for judges, when party wasn't shown, I did research and voted against a judge when I found out Hogan appointed him.

If you are in a party that tries to overthrown the government, you're in the wrong party.

Called for Moore five minutes after polls closed.

I am an R and voted for Moore. Prob voted roughly 75% rest of ticket for R's, while also withholding voting in races I was unfamiliar w (like judges).

Voting straight "jersey color" vs candidate is lazy and uninformed.

Voting a straight blue or red ticket is as ignorant as an uninformed voter.

One can certainly be informed and also vote a straight ticket. It’s odd that you don’t realize this.
The critical point is to be an informed voter — and to understand who and what you’re voting for, and the likely implications of having the people you’ve chosen to vote for win.

Can people stop calling Youngkin a sane moderate now that he’s endorsed Cox?

I voted for Hogan in 2018 but never even considered voting for Cox.
