Every day, there are tragedies. Banality of evil and all that. But, only the mentally ill cancel all their plans to sit in mourning over daily shootings that dont involve them. But we did “change behavior” drastically after 9/11 and laws were put into place so it hadn’t happened here since. That is not the case with mass shootings and the easy availability of deadly firearms. Had we changed as drastically as we did after 9/11 after Columbine, how many innocent lives would have been saved.
