That seems highly gauche as everyone knows no more than 3 spears per person.
I just spit out my coffee!
Thanks, pP
Was starting to think no one would appreciate my family's asparagus gluttony![]()

Whaddaya got, DCUM? What dinners do you make that DCUM Would NEVER?
That’s not food. I’m not a pearl clutcher but why eat like that? You could get a nice sour dough and havarti with lots of butter. At least it’s actual food.
As for myself, homemade pizza.
Your mom.
No! I think I’ve just been ruined living in Los Angeles. I don’t know anyone who eats like this and I’m also not American. I have found this thread so interesting and had to Google some of the foods. I just didn’t understand why you wouldn’t want real cheese?!!! America has good cheese!!!
I don’t get it either. I never eat like this- it is disgusting. There is plenty of good real food to be found. If I don’t feel like actually cooking I’ll make something super simple like scrambled eggs. I don’t understand why we are celebrating loving garbage food. But a lot of people really love garbage food I guess- hence the obesity epidemic

What's wrong with that? I use pizza sauce from Trader Joe's to make meat sauce.
+1, I consider this a totally legit dinner, especially if I throw in some chopped spinach. Although I use Rao's sauce bc YUM
+1 to Raos. DH and I always shunned those fancy more expensive tomato sauces at the grocery store, but have been unable to buy anything other than Rao's since I bought it on sale once. If there's an even better jarred sauce, let me know, but I even prefer Rao's to many homemade sauces

If you're coming to my house on a weeknight for dinner, you're getting takeout.[/quote]
I actually prefer this to most things listed here! Bonus if you tell me where you're ordering from and ask what I want. No shame in that game.
