And then telling me how many kids were killed in Chicago by guns and how many car accidents there were yesterday. Same old nonsense. I just said we were done. I could not be friends with her anymore. She was shocked and sobbing.
Enough is enough. I can’t hear the lies anymore.
They were probably sobs of joy because she can’t stand listening to you and your one sided point of view on a daily basis. Friends don’t need to agree on everything in life, they just need to be respectful when they disagree. Sounds like you need work on the respect part, your friend will be just fine without you.

Self protection cannot be just for the wealthy and connected. All Americans are by right entitled to such protection.
Gun violence in America is due to the downfall of the American family, lack of religious upbringing, schools providing “safe spaces” instead of encouraging and supporting honest discourse. [i]Our little snowflakes simply cannot cope. They are self harming, killing themselves[b] and in this most horrific case, killing the most innocent of lives.
And when there’s a gun in the home, suicide rates are increased. It also makes suicide attempts more successful.
So yeah, guns help.

Stop blaming republicans. They didn't kill those kids. This was a very troubled young man who didn't get the help he needed from his parents/family, school and community. Lets start there.
You don't understand how this works do you. There are lots of troubled young men, here, and alm over the world- but they kill when they have access to AR15s and other weapons.
You, and those like you, are the reason children are killed. He was the shooter, but he had enablers like people who vote for these things.
Or the people who blame guns when his mental illness was the true problem. How could those in his life, teachers, parents etc have allowed him to run amuck? There is accountability and it has nothing to do with guns. But you keep toting the same old argument, it’s not the problem. Oh, and cops need to be in schools armed and ready to kill. This no gun zone bs killed those kids. Wake the f up people.
Nope. It's you, f*ed up NRA crazies. Did you vote for universal health care and 100% coverage of mental care? I bet you didn't.
I don’t believe in universal health care because I don’t want the government controlling my health care. And for the record I am not a member of the nra. Just don’t believe guns are the problem. If an ass like this monster could not get a gun he would have used something else. Maybe he would’ve killed fewer, but he would still find a way to cause harm.

There has to be better regulations on guns. There has to be better education with exposing kids to violence early in their lives.

Everyplace has troubled young men. Every place does not have republican policies allowing them to buy assault rifles.
You know why, because other countries deal with their troubled young men. We're too busy, selfish, and policitcally correct to do the right thing when we see mentally ill young men.
no, dealing with mentially ill people is a problem eveyrwhere, go to Europe and you will see mentally ill people in the street in any country. the difference is that in this country this guy went to a store and bought an AR15 and hundreds of ammunitions. if he was in Italy, Germany, Japan, he would not have been able to do it. in most countries you need to obtain a permit before you can buy a weapon and rifles of the type this guy used cannot be owned by civilias, just by police and the army. even gun enthusiasts in civiized countries think Americans are nuts. the type of weapon makes the difference. a lot of these massacres were done literally in 3-4 minutes. the reality is that we re all in dangers, we go to the store, to the movie, to work, in the metro, kids to school and so on and if a crazy decides that day to go up in flame bringing others with him we are done.
there is a massacre a week now and not stopping. glad i am from somewhere else and trying to move my family there and leave this idiotic place. my niece and nephew in my home country have never seen a metal detector and never hear of a shooter drill in school. my older parents dont sleep with loaded rifles next to their bed. it may be hard for many if you to understand but how some people live here is nuts
