And to the OP, wtf!?

Maybe the teacher decided to not count the extra credit because your child couldn’t take the initiative to handle it themselves.
DP here but if that's the case then the teacher should make the expectations clear and teach the student how to take the initiative, not retaliate against the student.

Maybe it would be nice for you to land the helicopter and see if your kid could advocate for themselves. That’s part of the thing at Deal - teaching kids how to take responsibility for their own stuff. Are you going to be emailing college professors too? And please do respond with something like “DC can’t handle that” - that’s a a you problem, not the schools.
Completely disagree. Deal doesn’t teach kids how to be self-sufficient as it does to expose kids to rely on their parents as much. As a current teacher there, there are about 80% really good, kind, and loving parents. However, that other 20% are fire-breathing loudmouths who run the school from their political connections, insane demands of administrators and staff, to the unreasonable asks of teachers and even their own children. That 20% usually have the loudest voice and most power and make it miserable to teach there because they have the most sway over upper NW politics.
Regardless of whether the OP is a teacher or a parent, I’d argue that, from a current Deal teacher’s perspective, that’s the real controversy.

Yeah, OP is trolling.
I suspect she's a teacher.
Kinda sexist to thing she’s a a “she”. “Her” pronouns shouldn’t be assumed.

But I thought Gabby and Brandon were together?
They WERE but then someone mistook Brandon for a 6th grader and gave him/his/he a swirly in the bathroom. Everyone found out about it and it drove Gabby back into Kyle’s arms. They were making out between classes, got caught up in a hall sweep and ended up in detention with the swirled AND the pantser and two kids still high from lunchtime.
any updates?
Ohmygod you didn't hear? So. Because Gabby was making out and therefore NOT WEARING HER MASK, Evie was like "oh wow she's not safe don't go around her ew." But Gabby is vaccinated but Edie isn't (wtf) so Gabby was like "omg I just need to live my life and make out with who I want and Evie why are you a judgemental hoebag you just want Kyle but I already gave him covid so there." So then Evie cried, they all when to Wholefoods and ate directly from the hot food bar and now everyone has mono.
