Both rankings don't even include acceptance rate in there list. And two the rankings won't include test optional until later this year. Remember the rankings are always 1 or 2 years behind. Also Emory also has a 1470 avg before going optional. So do many other schools have higher test scores.

Georgetown (7,300 undergrads) is MUCH more selective than UMich Ann Arbor (31,000 undergrads).
Georgetown REQUIRES test scores and requires ALL scores from everyone you took. It is not on the Common App. 1470 is the avg. SAT score. GU's acceptance rate is 15%
Michigan does not require test scores. It lists 1340 as the SAT score for usual admission. Michigan's acceptance rate is 26%
Georgetown only ranks lower on this list precisely because it is not a common app school and requires test scores.
This list is a scam because it is all about total number of applicants and acceptances. More students apply to some of these schools and fewer to some of the others, but the those applying to 'the fewer' are candidates with higher credentials on average.
Seriously. I got into an Ivy and rejected from Georgetown. Most of my Michigan friends didn't even apply to Ivies or Georgetown because they didn't meet their 'averages', but now there are no test scores required UMich--that is a game changer and even lower stats are getting in.
If it is in terms of chances of getting accepted, this list is whacked.

A general ranking of colleges and universities is useful only to help stupid judgey people judge stupidly. The ranking that matters is how employers and grad schools in the desired field view the school.
