Lola
Oh my Lola la-la-la-la Lola
Well I'm not dumb but I can't understand
Why she walked like a woman and talked like a man
Oh my Lola la-la-la-la Lola la-la-la-la Lola
Well we drank champagne and danced all night
Under electric candlelight
She picked me up and sat me on her knee
And said little boy won't you come home with me
Well I'm not the world's most passionate guy
But when I looked in her eyes well I almost fell for my Lola
La-la-la-la Lola la-la-la-la Lola
Lola la-la-la-la Lola la-la-la-la Lola
I pushed her away
I walked to the door
I fell to the floor
I got down on my knees
Then I looked at her and she at me
Well that's the way that I want it to stay
And I always want it to be that way for my Lola
La-la-la-la Lola
Girls will be boys and boys will be girls
It's a mixed up muddled up shook up world except for Lola
La-la-la-la Lola
What’s wrong with this? Seems unobjectionable.
“Lola” in the song is a cross-dresser. Lol.
But today that would be totally fine. Really the song was ahead of its time.

On the 16-17 year old thing, Joan Jett sings of a 17 year old "standing by the record machine"
I remember thinking Aerosmith's "Rag Doll" was pretty pervy when the video came out when I was a teen.
"Baby It's Cold Outside" is charming IMO, but date rape song apparently.

“Debbie's smiling and waving her gun
Picking off cheerleaders one by one”
Julie Brown was hilarious, though. "I like 'em big and stupid" always makes me smile.

It was known to be a 'stalker' song when it came out, too.

“She’s just 16 years old, leave her alone, they say” and that leads into lyrics about implied kidnapping and underage predatory sex.
Yes, this was the first song I thought of when I saw the thread title. Someone posted the entire thing earlier. <shudder>
I had never listened to the lyrics of that song before. And omg the video. The singer is full-on creep (but also what's with the guy with the beard and suspenders who answers the door at the start? I was born in '73 and I do not remember people/dads looking like that, LOL). Link, if anyone dares watch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zWHjJt4833I.

I will be your father figure
(Oh baby)
Put your tiny hand in mine
(I'd love to)
I will be your preacher teacher
(Be your daddy)
Anything you have in mind
(It would make me)
I will be your father figure
(Very happy)
I have had enough of crime
(Please let me)
I will be the one who loves you
'Til the end of time
That's all I wanted
But sometimes love can be mistaken
For a crime
That's all I wanted
Just to see my baby's
Blue eyes shine
This time I think that my lover
Understands me
If we have faith in each other
Then we can be
Strong, baby
Except it was sung by a gay man.

A great song, one of their best even if you can make it past the lyrical content…..

The fixation with 16 and 17 year olds in early rock n roll is a little creepy. That one, Sweet Little Sixteen, the first lyric to I Saw Her Standing There (“well she was just 17 if you know what I mean”).

But in the video the woman is clearly full grown.
That "into the night" video is one I wish I had never, ever seen.
