During the pandemic I tried to make my laundry room prettier so I got a few jars like this and used one for wool dryer balls, one for lavender dryer bags (from Trader Joes that I use on guest sheets) and a few sage bundles, and one that I decant Oxyclean Free in. I also got a super clear plastic caddy at Container Store and put in a few bottles of Dr. Bronners lavender (which I use to clean house). It makes me so happy.
I don't know if this is the size I got, but I got two sizes in this type of jar. I also use one upstairs and unwrap bars of soap and put them in there, so it looks nice and we can easily grab one.

All natural, oxi clean, all that.
And then my sons went through puberty.
We use scent beads now so that I don’t smell BO all day.

That is not the fix; teaching your children to wash themselves is the fix, because what everyone else is smelling, including their poor peers and teachers, is BO and scent bead. It’s the worst of both worlds.

That existed before COVID.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:I use wool dryer balls instead of dryer sheets. I started adding sanitizer for certain items in the washer. Just bought scent booster, but plan on adding sachets to my closet rather than adding more chemicals directly onto my clothes.
They really push that stuff and I’m surprised that it’s pretty expensive for a container of scent booster.
What is added sanitizer?
I think it's one of those pointless things someone cooked up during the pandemic and people latched on out of fear. Soap works. Bleach works. There's no need to buy "sanitizer" on top of the usual products.
Is it an actual thing?
I mean isn’t that the entire point of doing laundry? I am so intrigued by this.
Seriously, it's a gimmick born out of Covid.

Dramatic much?
Nope. The house stunk (there were 8 of them) and that garbage causes asthma flare ups and headaches. MIL used to use Gain. One night sleeping on those sheets and I was sick.
The effect all of that scented crap can have is underestimated.
Same thing with Scentsy and the like.
