Why negotiate back to an unacceptable status quo : non- Nato Unkraine and Russia gets Crimea ( and Ukraine loses all its sea access)

Putin has given the West every justification it has EVER needed to deal to him the once in a generation severe military and economic blow that will likely force the hand of the oligarchs and FSB apparatus in Russia to see to it there is NO MORE Putin

because he has just made himself a dead man walking and FOREVER Liability to his country

Hassan Piker (Hassanabi) had Chelsea Manning on his show (you can see it on YouTube). I don't know how much you can take what she says for the truth since she's a traitor to the US but she basically said that Russia just doesn't have the war machine that we have. She claimed (exaggeration?) that we have 100,000 cruise missles just sitting around and that most of them will rust out before ever being used. Meanwhile Russia doesn't have those types of stockpiles of ammunition waiting to be fired. They're using what they've got but they don't spend a gazzillion dollars a year on weapons like we do.

Amazing the amount of totally irrelevant people that come out of the woodwork at a time like this to provide a viewpoint that anyone with a Twitter account can find in three seconds.

This. Manning was a specialist, literally just above a private, who spent a grand total of three years in the Army. She is not an expert on anything.

Russia has no presence and no control over the western half of Ukraine. Large military transports from numerous countries have been flowing in to Rzeszow Poland near the Ukraine border, from there supplies and hardware can be trucked in. That part of the Poland-Ukraine border is also bristling with troops, equipment, attack helicopters, drones, etc.

Good, so how come with ALL hundreds of millions of $$$ in military hardware, including drones being delivered to Ukraine why is the 40 mile Russian convoy still threatening Kvyv ?

Seems even the Houthis- as poor, starving and uneducated as they are has managed better against the Saudi's ?

So, why not obliterate that 40 mile convoy by now and send Putin reeling ( and likely assassinated out of office )

I just don't think their army is as good as everyone expected. When a lot of the army consists of unmotivated teenage conscripts, you're not going to get a motivated fighting force.

They will just drive them across from Poland in trucks. It’s a 322 mile border and the Ukrainians are in control of western Ukraine.

Poland, Romania, maybe the Black Sea, but that’s probably dicey, given the concentration of Russian troops in the south. Ukraine has 2 NATO borders, so we’ll always have a line in, it’s getting the weapons in hands that’ll be a challenge, especially if that 40 mile convoy ever encircles Kyiv.

The tough part may be finding a safe port of entry via the Black Sea into Ukraine. But that said, Turkey is also asserting its right to control the flow of ships in and out of the Black Sea. They are restricting military vessels and started turning away Russian navy.

On its own, Poland has trucked-in several metric tons of lethal aid.

When even neutral Sweden (and Russia’s pseudo-ally Finland) decide to send lethal aid, it speaks loudly about the resolve to stop Putin - militarily - this time.

If you are unsure what “militarily” means here, it means killing as many troops sent over the border by Putin and Belarus.

Putin is not negotiating in good faith here.
