They will look at his phone when he's in the bathroom or sets it down and get all of that information. Then, they will over analyze the situation with their sicko friends and actively wish ill harm to the wife so they can have their *dream* man.

Neither of us is in a job where we travel.
But, after 25 years, I did. I told him immediately. I thought we were ok but then he did (twice), and blamed it on my cheating. Also, I caught him in the act. That was fun.
Anywho, we worked it out - hard core worked it out and it took years. There were 3-4 years where I thought there is NO WAY this will work and it was all based on the lack of trust. But it did. We recommitted to each other.
Now, things are different. We actively work on our relationship and are each other's best friends. I am at the point in this where I can say I'm glad it happened. We would not be where we are now if it hadn't. We wouldn't have done the work on ourselves and our relationship. Full trust came back after about 7 years. For us, it was worth it to slog through it.

I think many people cheat because many people are unhealthy themselves, that's where it stems from. I know in my case, I just let life happen to me. I wasn't intentional about anything, I couldn't have told you my values, etc. I had to be very clear about how I wanted to live. Most people aren't. And that's where the cheating comes in. I think it happens a LOT!

Like attracts like. You just know a bunch of other people with shi!ty morals or boundaries. My DH is close friends with a group of about 8 men. They talked about cheating and one admitted to doing it before marriage, none since. But these are UMC guys who all come from families with parents who stayed married and all have kids. Lots of guys would not be ok hanging out with cheaters. You are because it makes you feel better about your own jack of character.


I have a group of several friends and some have cheated but I definitely tell my wife how they would never EVER cheat because I dont need scrutiny on guys trips. I wouldn't cheat but I also would never tell my wife if they did.

So your marriage is different than ours - we don’t lie to each other, and since we have specifically discussed cheating and our friends, he would be lying if he didn’t tell me. He might tell me he didn’t want to talk about it if he was told in confidence. My DH also does not need to worry about scrutiny on guys’ weekends or porn, because I have zero problem with either (and after 30 years have a lot of trust in him).

This interesting, assuming you are a man and not a troll, I think men who cheat get a sense you and people like you are dead set against cheating and therefore hide it from you. I would say about half of the 30 men I know fairly well have cheated and I am sure its higher if you add in the people who haven't said anything.

PP here. Trust me, I am not a troll, and I do think that like minded people tend to stick together. The percentage of cheaters in my circle may be different than in yours. But I stand my my estimate that 90% of men are faithful. Of course nobody ever will know the real statistic; it is not something that can be tracked accurately.
