And wherever Black folks are, or Hispanics, or Asians....

I honestly think you only feel pleasure when wallowing in discussions of racism 24/7. You'll never get what you're looking for, though.

It would be a quick conversation if you agreed it existed and we should do something to address it.

It’s going to take a long time if people want to pretend it doesn’t exist in a meaningful way. Or if they are perfectly fine with status quo.

DP. And how do you propose "addressing it"? Telling people they're intrinsically racist? No thanks.

So who cares what her race is if she’s just a POS Republican.

So the election of the first black female LTG in the Commonwealth doesn’t count for anything in your vaunted opinion? Thanks for walking straight into that statement. Unbelievable.

I think her race and gender are irrelevant if she’s unfit to be Lt G.

Kind of like Kamala then.

Anonymous wrote:As a white Youngkin supporter I will admit with absolute certainty there is strong racism in the area. Look no further than TJ and the FFX school board where minorities openly hate Asians and have made sure they reduce the percentage of Asians by redefining admittance to get the numbers up for the "under privileged'" who didn't work hard. In text messages obtained via FOI the one board member even "LOL'd" about how the new policy was racist towards Asians.

Oh wait, this doesn't fit the media narrative.

Sadly, this discussion really only is used to play to the dem hardcore base, in my opinion.

1. Republicans aren't "half the country".

2. This thread isn't accusing Rs of being racist - just asking them to share their thoughts.

DP. Your oh-so-innocent, deliberately obtuse act is not cute. You are not clever. You're just an annoying, sanctimonious twit who is taking up space. Run along.

Wow - such a bitter response to facts. I wonder why....

No, I wouldn't. I don't pick my candidates based on skin color. Or if they have a vagina.

I think Harris is very well-qualified to be VPOTUS or even POTUS. I didn't vote for her because of her race or gender.

How does that feel?

If you are a Youngkin supporter, do you think that racism exists in any form in VA today?

Overt racism?
Racial biases?
Systemic racism?

Racism directed at whom? In spite of what we all heard Biden pathetically try to insist - racism should not be defined as whites against blacks. It is sadly more prevalent in other instances. Perhaps if we change Biden et al rhetoric - and define racist behavior to include all - it would actually begin to change.

My solution to "fixing" racism is a public healthcare option, ending foreign intervention, enforcing environmental standards like clean water, increasing wages, encouraging union membership, increasing affordable housing, better transportation infrastructure by making it free and significantly reducing the cost of post-secondary education. These government intervention will vastly improve the quality of life of all citizens, but will have highest impact on systemically marginalized people of color.

People will always be biased towards their kind, but redistribution of resources and wealth will improve more people's lives. I am happy to increase taxes not just on Jeff Bezos, but anyone earning $250,000 and above. People should channel their feelings to action. Woke soul-searching won't improve conditions for economically depressed black people in Hampton Roads, but redistribution of wealth will.
