Honestly, I could see it going either way.

Me too. Honestly reading the emails, she seemed older like at least in her forties.

Yes! I also think she seem older which makes to more interesting.

In some of the emails toward the end he apologizes for hurting her heart, being the source of her pain, wishes things were different,
Etc. sounds like she was expecting him to leave his wife and he wouldn’t/couldn’t so she got fed up and outed him

I can totally see that.

Sounds like a really lonely old man, still technically married to his wife, but they live separate lives?

Not only was he a moron, he was a stingy miser who made over $1,000,000.00 in comp. Imagine making so much money, yet you care about skymiles and a free cocktail in a sky club.

It does appear that way.

To be fair, the state does suck, as does the midwest in general. Ann Arbor is nice enough, though. And it’s a good, solid school.

Ann Arbor is provincial and "ghetto" if you've lived anywhere outside of Michigan. Yes, I'm aware it's "prosperous" vis a vis the backwater towns around it. It is still a miserable dump and it's currently negative degrees outside. I can't blame the president, who comes from a Berkeley and Ivy League background, for being miserable there.

You’re from the eastern suburbs of Appalachia. I wouldn’t talk.

Ignore the obvious troll.

It’s 32 and sunny currently in Ann Arbor. It’s 23 and snowing in DC. You can even describe the weather accurately.

What an ignorant comment. Three of the eight current Ivy League presidents came directly from Michigan, and only one of the three was the president there. The other two had the #2 job, just like Schlissel in reverse. If anything, at an institutional administrative level the Ivy League schools certainly seem to view Michigan as a peer institution from which they can look to for future leadership, which is hardly something that fosters insecurity in Ann Arbor. You also appear to be ignorant of the Board of Regents and how it operates and to whom it is accountable.

If you knew anyone at UofM you'd know Mark hated the state, hated the Midwest, hated the university, hated sports. He took the gig for the money and hoping to job hop to an Ivy. Furthermore, PIs probably would have found he was a creeper at his previous gigs. This loser was a VERY costly mistake by the UofM Regents.

Fine. I “know” plenty of people at UofM and actually saw Mark and Steve Ross recently. Nothing you are saying has anything to do with the false assertion that the Regents hired him because they are “insecure with Ivy envy.”

Also—“VERY costly” how? Victors for Michigan was a huge success.

It doesn't even sound like he was sleeping with her. Sounds like a pathetic and meek old man being led on by the woman.

To be fair, I think Maryland and Virginia suck. Fairfax nice enough though.
