Everyone needs a state-issued ID. Everyone dreads the DMV. Doesn’t really matter. Quit complaining and do what needs to be done.
I’m just pointing out that it’s not a trivial task. Especially the Real ID.
And I am lucky enough to have a car & money. And I can track down the various documents required for the Real ID. And while it’s a pain to schedule time off of work I can get time off of work. It’s possibly an extremely challenging task for some people.
Also, I haven’t had a valid ID in almost 2 years. You don’t “need” a valid gov’t ID.
Anonymous wrote:What's funny is that the people I know who are having problems getting their RealID in VA are republican. It might not work out how conservatives are expecting.
It can take a lot of time and effort (and sometimes money, those birth certificates aren't free) to get that much documentation, especially if you are older.

I have zero problem with this. I love talking guns with other gun people. They can hang out at my place and we’ll order pizza and talk about about various upgrades and accessories!
See, unlike you, I’m not afraid of seeing black guys with guns. You obviously think that’s something to fear.
The NRA was once strongly in favor of gun control because of black people open carrying.
You are an anomaly. The vast majority of your like-minded gun fetishists would freak out if this happened and you know it.
My distaste for open carry has nothing to do with skin color. This is America, not Somalia or Afghanistan. Stop trying to make us look like a lawless jurisdiction by arming legends in their own mind with weapons of mass destruction.

My license has been expired for 6 months. I'm still waiting on my appt 2 months from now. It was impossible to get an appt.
It’s walk-in every day but Mondays and Fridays. You can do it!

Somehow, I don’t believe the PP can do it. The PP is a victim.
I’ve been trying to get my REAL ID since before the pandemic.
I have a job and three young kids and it’s hard to find time to gather materials I need and get an appt that works with my schedule. It’s taken way more time and energy than it should.
Yes, it certainly does. However, the rest of us are able to deal with a few hours of inconvenience and go to walk-in hours at the DMV. I think you can too.![]()
Great. You can cover for me at work or watch my kids so I can do it at my convenience. Thanks.
JFC. Get over yourself. Everyone manages to get their inconvenient tasks done. You’re not special.

My local park may be crime free now, but you never know when the terrorists will show up. I feel much safer knowing that god fearing patriots will now be allowed to watch their kids play with an AR-15 slung over their shoulder.
Does that mean the Congressional baseball games in Arlington will be open carry now?
Honey, there is already open carry. Yes, there are local restrictions on so-called "assault weapons" but what are you so scared of? It's just a firearm.

Except that there ARE background checks at expos. Why are you lying?

I turned 18 in 1999 and voted my first two elections by absentee ballot in Europe. I was SHOCKED when I came back to the U.S. and voted in person for the first time in 2008 and just had to give my name and address while some old lady checked it off on a printed piece of paper. I literally asked her how she knows I'm me and she was like "we just believe you." lmao. Ridiculous

Also, what's wrong with open carry exactly? How many people are shot and killed because it is allowed?
When people tell you who they are, believe them.
