Please explain in detail how a person who has a secret affair with his younger brothers wife is a “good man”? Keep on talkin cause you’re doing the hard work for me!

It appears she has literally zero proof and no witness to anything in general let alone proof he touched her while he was a teacher — that’s the illegal part. An affair with your brother’s wife just makes him a scummy sociopathic Evangelical fraud — not a criminal.

I think the July 2021 end to this "affair" is curious timing vis a vis 2022's gubernatorial election. I wonder if either PIs discovered the affair and/or he came clean to them and they had him cease all contact with her in preparation to run for the Republican ticket. Victim or not, she flipped out at the abrupt cut-off and zero closure.
Similar scandal happened at conservative Hillsdale College in Michigan back in the 90s. The president of the college was having a long-running affair with his daughter in law. The president ended it to marry another woman. The daughter in law flipped out, later revealed the affair to the entire family, then walked outside and shot herself. Made the Times and Post:

And that Hillsdale story was shared on Twitter by other reporters this week in response to the Chatfield bombshell. I’m not the only one who notes potential similarities.
He appears to live a family modest lifestyle in the "up state" boonies where he and his family resided. The address I see attached to him, at least a couple of years ago, is nothing special. There are a lot of lakes, so in the summers you drink and party on ski boats.
It's when he was "down state" in Lansing and Detroit, 4 to 5 hours away from his wife and kids, where he had a taste for the finer things in life and his affairs. There just are not thousands of cute interns from all the Big Ten state schools and pretty, polished, (and elbowy) 20-something PR and lobbyist women running around "up state". And there's really nowhere to party lavishly up there.
He did most of his dirt down state.
