I absolutely don’t believe you’re not a coach, and in fact I think you are even more now. How do you know so much about VDA, Arlington, and Loudoun but so little about SYC program? I have seen the training formats and it’s all the same from 9 vs. 9 on up. It worked great for us, and, I can see its limitations.
Please, coach. Tell me. And this is really embarrassing I can get more information from SYC coaches in an anonymous forum than I can from “evaluations” or the preseason meetings.
Top talent left years ago for existing DA or ECNL teams like VDA, Arlington, McLean etc. They performed fine at CCL but MLSNext is higher competition. It really isn't more complicated than that.
Winning at the next level might need higher quality coaching but the talent on those older teams simply isn't there. The younger teams are retaining their talent as well as attracing some outside players.
I'm simply repeating myself at this point and yet again, you are not only to stupid to understand you are to stubborn to try an understand.
I could care less where you take your kid and I'm not trying to convince you to stay with SYC but you are not really looking at the bigger picture properly and you will likely simply double down and make another bad decision because your overall logic is wrong.

Not if they want the girls to stay in the ECNL
ECNL's "all in" would certainly come into play here.
There are a few clubs out there with the boys side in ECNL and the girls side is in GA. I suspect those clubs will be brought in line within the next couple of years with both sides in ECNL.
If Arlington moved their boys side to MLSNext there is a good chance ECNL would kick the girls side out in favor of a club that would be "all in".
It would take a couple of seasons for ECNL to further separate from GA before they actually did this but it would be the likely outcome even though it would not be immediate.
And of course this gets highjacked by girls soccer parents.
This is particularly funny since SYC already has a foot in ECNL through VA Union, and Bethesda is already split.
I think MLS Next would be happy to welcome Arlington's top team into MLS Next without ejecting anybody else. Arlington could field an ECNL team on the boys side, just like SYC/VA Union or any number of other clubs with teams in both ECNL and MLS Next.
Arlington would not take
It is not at all hijacked, but claiming Arlington moving to MLSNext would likely not happen due to the impact on the girls side.
Yeah, you are right, boys soccer parents prattle on all the time about the ga and the importance of keeping girls in ecnl.
I am certain that this is you whenever anyone makes a simple and straightforward point to you.
And now I am positive you are a girls soccer parent. Please leave the rest of us and emojis and eyes and videos out of our discussions. I hope that is not too difficult for you to understand.

Correct people forget that Arlington had DA and was offered MLS Next which Arlington denied. Further proves that ECNL for boys isn't a 2nd tier league

What exactly is the bigger picture? Is it for the club to move to the next level/league? The kids are just conduits for the club to have a chance at the next level. Kids need to come in already skilled/developed and ready to go? Coaches are there just to sub in players and identify formation of play? . The issue becomes if a couple key people leave, half (or more) of the team may follow suit, but you don't care .
