You're wrong - our kids play at one of these locations on top teams and developed in Vienna. Talent is talent and grandma doesn't need to play too for you to have it. Don't be stupid.

Is VYS better than a BRYC on the girls side? I think every age group outside of 2009 BRYC wins.
A merger would be most likely
Also if ECNL was to unbalance the league and go from 14 clubs to 15 they would most likely want to bring in Beach FC, top of the table and in a great area to keep and develop talent

This is definitely true on the boys side, but I don't think it holds on the girls side.

Vienna has nearly all of the factors to be a good club. A larger than average house program with good athletes, affluent and committed families, lots of county provided lit turf fields. What they don’t have are good coaches. Eventually the parents figure that out and leave.

And these were all top players at the club.
My guess is these 06s leaft Vienna even before U13 and even went to another club before ECNL. But that's OK. You can take credit.
My kid left Vienna for a top club and team before U13 but (1) VYS taught how to play the right way and provided the background that facilitated transition, and (2) the broader point is not about credit, but whether there is sufficient critical mass of talent to support an ecnl team. They have a lot of talent for a small area of about 40k people but need alliance with BRYC, GFR and/or Annandale to support a full and competitive roster.

The former post about Arlington was regarding girls 06, not boys! The girls Arlington teams are middle to low end in ECNL.

2) Not sure what total number of VYS 06s who have moved to MYS over the years is but don’t think some of them are participating in ECNL play for VA United/MYS - TB & PR?
3) There are 3 former 06 BRYC ECNL players on 06 VYS now so there is some movement of talent in the other direction as well. (VYS and BRYC 06 ECNL are pretty evenly matched.) - Agreed, that VYS and BRYC are evenly matched, but which direction is the talent headed?
4) There may be 2 05 VYS players on 05 BRYC ECNL. There is also a former 06 VYS player on 05 BRYC ECNL. - Again, more VYS players headed to ECNL teams.
