I get DCPS’ concern about equity, but it seems like they’ve put the vast majority of clinics in the neighborhoods with the least demand.

Really, just 250 shots to serve all of Ward 6?…. Tonight alone there are likely more shots than that being wasted at schools across the city.

How about working to meet existing demand?

L-T’s PTO organized a vaccine clinic outside of the school yesterday afternoon. Maybe an option for other Ward 6 schools?

You can drive to other wards to get the vaccine.

P.s.: At the time of writing I see there are 210 shots still available at Paterson Elementary (but I don’t have the ability to quickly transport myself and my motley kids in time).

Oh this is smart! I still think setting a back up appointment would be good. I’ve heard of a couple of kids whose needle fears make attempt #1 a fail so having a back up was helpful

I'd try to find an appointment if you can.

And FWIW when we were at Dorothy Height the nurse told us that we can just come back to the same site 3 weeks later for the second dose

I’m the PP who went to Center City. They said same time and place in 3 weeks (11/30). Assume the other school sites would be the same?
