We chose a smaller house in Alexandria and tracked our child on the AP course so that he would be urban, aware and ahead of the game. You won't get that in Springfield or Ashburn. There they would have become hicks.

I agree. We have made that choice with a single child (although our child is special needs and has been in public schools (ACPS) for periods because we could not find appropriate private school options at certain times.
