Car payments are for losers. If you have to finance a vehicle, you shouldn’t be buying that vehicle.
I’d rather pay 1% on my 90,000 and earn 10-20% in the market.

I completely agree with this. We bought a new Sienna in June and it was $45k.

Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:What was the price of the new car? Did you trade in the 2 old cars? What was their value? If no trade in, how much $$ did you put down on the new vehicle?
Price was $60,000 no money down and no trade in

A new Highlander is literally $56 off the lot. And that’s only if you can find a dealership that has one, and you get what you get, no choosing your colors or interior options etc. if they have one on the lot that’s what u get
I *literally* just drove a new AWD Highlander XLE off the lot for 35k. Paid cash. Financing 60k is absurd.

I call BS. The MSRP on 2021 AWD XLE is $41K+. If you bought the car in VA, you would have had to pay approx $33,000 + tax, title, fees. There is no way you got a $8,000 discount off MSRP right now, unless you forgot to mention a trade in or downpayment.
I'm in the market and just want to know where. Highlanders are one of the cars that we're looking at and getting anything more than a token amount off of MSRP seems hard right now.
I call BS too. We’ve been car shopping too. No Highlanders for under 40k.
+1. You can barely find a used one.
Sorry not sure what to tell you. It’s true. Albeit not in Virginia - moved south recently and there’s loads of them here.

Still think this is BS. I live in the South too. We’ll just have to not believe each other.
