That’s so true. If a woman is unattractive, there isn’t a lot she can do to make herself more attractive. Earning a high income just narrows her dating pool. I know so many women who are intelligent, kind, and funny with high earning jobs who have never found a partner and will never be able to have their own children or family.
Because they view their market dating pool as “settling.”
I don’t think so. I have a good friend...she is 36 years old, funny, sweet, and outgoing. Works as a family doctor with her own private practice and spends Friday nights working with the local high school football team. But she is overweight and doesn’t have a pretty face. As a man, she would be very dateable. As s woman, she almost never gets a date, let alone a marriage proposal.

well, yea, I guess it's better that men are at least honest that they are superficial and want a woman with a hot body and who always wants sex whenever he wants it, and that he expects her to be the exact same after having kids, and that he expects her to be the primary caregiver, cook, cleaner, and also work.
That’s only here. In real life they pretend to be committed to “equal partnership” until the kids come along.

Yes but again, how many rich available men do you think exists in this area such that ALL women are only dating these men. My point is that there aren't enough wealthy available men for every single woman to date/marry. So, not all women are dating rich men.
But yes, you have to have something about you that's attractive. If it's not money, the it's something else -- wit, looks, intelligence.. whatever.
How is this really any different to men looking for a catch. Are men tripping over themselves to date a fat, ugly woman? I don't think so.
Men may not care about wealth, but they care about other superficial things, too, like her looks. Big boobs attract men; big wallet attracts women. Shrug. Why should women feel guilty over wanting a man who can provide her and her children a comfortable life, while a man just wants a hot body to f*ck and not feel guilty about it?
Personally I do not think women should feel guilty for wanting to marry rich.
It is, however, a fact that some of us did not have a salary requirement when dating. I did have a "money sense" requirement in that I was not going to marry somebody who would buy dumb crap when they still had student loan debt or who didn't know how vital it is to distinguish wants from needs, but I would have been fine with any salary. Yes DH is now a top 1% earner but I had no idea that would happen when we married in our early twenties. It's like dating somebody before they had their glow-up.

Even so, some men are also attracted to a lot of money. That guy is pretty good looking, IMO. He could get a really attractive woman his age, but he went for an old lady, with a lot of money.

Cutting through the BS, most women do. Sorry to burst the lies and fairly tales, but most women want and prefer a man who's wealthy. It makes life much easier. I have a friend who's family is worth over $50m. He makes easily $500k a year and that's just what I know. They don't splurge on anything and he's similar (grounded). When he was in this early 30s every woman around the block was chasing after him. Helps that he's decent gooding and a nice man. But, it was the $$$ that drew them all him and he knew that. He would date of course, but never took any of them seriously because he know it was about the $$$.
Woman are just as materialistic as men are about looks.
