My Wilson student is not a tenth grader yet, but there’s no way they could learn physics from a video produced by the College Board. And then be able to complete College Board assignments on their own? No.
If that would even be possible, there’d be no point in hiring actual teachers.
Also, I’m not sure how it would work for a student not focus on a course to which they are assigned. Okay with skipping the AP exam in any case. But presumably each student will get a grade? Based on what? Completion of rudderless on-line assignments?

+1 Contact the AP Coordinator at Wilson. S/he can give the code for AP Classroom and your kid can watch the videos there. The coordinator could also open most of the assignments.
Honestly, I would only focus on this if my kid were destined to be an engineer. Otherwise, I would move on and focus on the kid’s other AP classes.
To the PP suggesting watching another DCPS AP Physics teacher…. I don’t think that teacher exists.

Grade inflation is harmful to everyone. The kids and parents get a false sense of security thinking they are doing great. Then reality hits in college and they struggle big time. Some swim but others sink and fail out.

Right. It will screw these kids over. Colleges are becoming wise to the Wilson shenanigans---"honors for all", no pandemic grades lower than a B, etc.
They have regional admissions reps whose job it is to follow these things. Do they want a Wilson kid who could be an A student or could be a B- student (no one can tell anymore)
or a Sidwell kid who they know is a true A kid. Admissions this past year were vastly better at the top privates than from Wilson and this wasn't always the case.

Seems like there are a million more efficient ways to accomplish this goal than to rely on an anonymous DCUM thread. For example, ask your kid for a list of other kids in the class and look them up in the Wilson directory. Or speak with the 11th grade PTSO parent reps to see if they can help organize something.
