The mayor thinks it may be too early to say whether the presence of SRO's at Alexandria City High School could have helped prevent Tuesday's off-campus shooting.
"I think it's probably too pre-mature to say that or to form any conclusions from that," he said. "You know, once we learn the details, I think we will be able to understand better whether this in any way could have been or would have been prevented by the presence of school resource officers."
You know that the mayor did vote to KEEP the SROs, right? He was in the minority for this split-vote.
He endorses and campaigns with all the defunders. Has not lifted a finger to get them back.
Correct. All he is doing here is politicing. If anybody thinks a cop in the vicinitywouldn't have had the effect of decreasing incidents like this, then you are, quite simply, a fool.
x1000 for both of these.

Perfect example of the absolute trash that mods that page. Total drama queens obsessed with attention instead of providing parents with information. At least a half dozen direct questions going ignored.
They are parents too! Maybe they don’t have direct information or knowledge. How would parent social media page moderators be responsible for answering those questions? You should reach out to the school administration or police.
