Using U14 as an example what this is saying is...
1. They play 11v11
2. Players turn 14 after Aug 1
3. Players are younger than or equal to 8/1/2012
4. Players are most likely be Freshman or younger

Always looking to steal accomplishments from younger players.
No one is pushing for 36 month age groupings. You’re the only one pushing for kids to play up based on grade.
12 months is it. Anyone who wants to play up can if they are able and the club will allow it.
If play downs / holdbacks are allowed they will be potentially 36 months older than the youngest correct grade player.
This is because HS allows players to be held back 2 times.
I have a misaligned August player and hoping they can play on age. But league games don't seem as important as tournaments and showcases. If showcases are going graduation year this will be a challenge for those who are misaligned.
I think people raise that extreme to troll grade guy.

Showcases arent going GY.
Age guy is just trying to start a rumor because he wants older kids to play against younger ones.
Heres why...
1. Once we change to SY almost everyone will be the same grade at games. If August birthdays play with their grade in school team 99.9% of players will be the correct grade.
2. Holdbacks can be up to 36 months older than correct grade in school players. This is because schools allow students to be held back 2x.
3. Showcase results determine playoff seeds. It would be unfair is players not on the team define who the seed against in finals.
It seems like age guy is arguing for grade in showcases, and grade guy is arguing for age for showcases.

Always looking to steal accomplishments from younger players.
Pure deflection.
What you really want is to play down 36 month older players against correct grade players.
People see though you.
It's a 12 month window in the DC area except for the rare talent playing up and for next year some stickiness to make teams even. None of that is my opinion or wants or needs.
100% this person is anti grad year while at the same time pushing for their own version of grad year that works best for them.
Provide a link to the roster that you're referring to.
Also, its humorous that you've backtracked into not letting Aug birthdays play with their grade as a NVA only thing.
Not the person making this point, but I think it's pretty clear they emphasize this because this is a DCUM forum and they see your trolling as not part of the community. Everyone is tired of arguing with you about other places, where while some clubs have adopted your approach, most examples shared here have been nuanced on how they are doing grade. I think that's why in one thread someone said put up or shut up about what's happening here and why in this thread people like to continue to post the age group. They are all efforts to get you to go away and/or annoy you by not engaging with you directly.
You talk so much and cant even provide the roster link. Sad
No roster link is definitive because it'll only show 1 team, whereas the entire universe of youth soccer sans MLSNext is below. Cheers!
