Quality of GZ commits is good——2 UNC, 2 Gtown, 2 Army, 1 Rutgers, 1 Penn among others. UNC finished last season #1 on final season rankings and lost by a goal to eventual winner UVA in semis; GTown is a top 6 team going into this season, Rutgers is a top ten team this season and last, and Army and Penn are top 20 teams coming into the season. GZ will be fine this season and probably surprise a lot of people who thought last season was a trend. I also think that GZ has potentially 2 POYs —UNC attack and Rutgers LSM.

I don't know if this kid would have started for Bullis by the end of the year.

Bullis looked very good this Fall in the games that I witnessed, given its fall ball. They graduated a very strong senior class, but they’ve have some super strong freshman and some impact seniors still left.

The top 3 in the IAC this Spring will be Landon, GP and Saint Stephens (no order). As someone pointed out, I think Bullis is 2 years away from having another mega team.

I'm going with Prep and Landon meeting in the finals in May as both teams will have more depth.

This is why they play the games. GZ will be better than everyone thinks and got no horse in this race. Too many good kids there. Same number of commits as GP and more than Landon and Bullis. You can argue the quality of the program commits, but they will be much much better, and start off with McD. We/Sssas play GZ in a scrimmage and we're going to get killed. SJ will be very good but will be interesting to see how teams deal with knowns versus the unknowns that they were last year, especially at the freshman level.

Within the IAC, Bullis will be more in SSAS range this year, with Landon and Prep well ahead. Landon is the sleeper with more experienced talent than Prep. While Prep and Bullis both lost a lot to graduation, Prep has a pipeline that Bullis is lacking. Shut down one player at Bullis and they will be scoring 5 or fewer per game in 2022.

Bullis plays the 2 best teams in Philly which are perennially nationally ranked. Also, play Culver another National power and Spalding MIAA finalist last year. They also play Gonzaga, the NC state champion along with Landon, Prep, SSSA. That could equate to 7 Nationally ranked teams.
Though not games Bullis will scrimmage Severn, McDonogh and St Johns.

Pretty good schedule and that may be surprising due to the number of seniors that graduated.

Really? What is Bullis’ schedule? What’s listed on IL doesn’t look that impressive.

I would not put that as by a mile w/r/t the GZ attack. Both played on same club team the the GZ attack was way more impactful.

Based on what I have been able to dig up, Bullis is playing the toughest schedule in the DC area, followed very closely by SJC.

I'm giving the edge to Bullis as the IAC top to bottom is a much deeper league than the WCAC. SJC non-league schedule is impressive but what hurts them is just the quality of play in WCAC as a whole. SJC has a lot a really good players, have great coaching and play well together. I could see them going undefeated in the DMV but not having the POY.

What would a surprise be?? Does Zaga dad think they will beat SJC? Finishing second or third would not really be a surprise to anyone who knows these teams. That will be determined by the PVI game which should be a close game.
