This is the part that makes me so angry. Lots of the idiots protesting don't want to go back to work themselves. They want ME to have to go back to work and risk MY life and the life of my kids and my parents so that they (protesters) can get a haircut or a beer.

That’s because the DMV shut down What do you think the death toll would’ve been if we hadn’t? Also we are learning that people who get sick and recover are often suffering long term damage to vital organs. We are also not sure whether surviving Covid confers immunity to future infection.

Seen the news today about the "buggy mess" of a UK model that precipitated the maniacal lockdowns? What would have happened? Herd immunity and a totally normal amount of yearly flu deaths. Just like in Sweden. That's what would have happened.

Seen the news today that liberal lauded Colorado adjusted their death rate DOWN? The state that did the same opening strategy as much maligned Georgia did?

The death rate and causes is totally fake. We've been had. Sooner you incorporate that reality, the better off you'll be. We'll all be.

Sweden has 34 deaths per 100,000 people compared to the US at 25 deaths per 100,000 people. This is despite many people generally being pretty responsible and voluntarily trying to socially distance even though it is not mandated. They still don’t know what herd immunity looks like because we still don’t know whether having the infection protects you from getting reinfected.
Regarding Colorado I think many places are struggling with the question of when to classify a death as related to Covid 19. In the beginning they were mostly classifying deaths related to respiratory illnesses this way but we have learned more in recent weeks about how this disease is causing tremendous damage to other vital organs and we now know that Covid patients are dying from renal failure etc. Compounding the situation is the paucity of adequate and reliable testing. Many hospitals were prioritizing scarce tests for the living. In addition many tests have high false negative tests. So we might end up having to use excess deaths as our best method to calculate the death toll. Of course this assumes that governors are open, honest and transparent about all the deaths that occur in their states and readily share this information with the CDC etc
