This is a great article.
Thanks for posting, I agree. Just read the whole article. I especially like point 2 and point 4. From the article:
"Speaking of hypocrites, I’m going to be very frank with you: I simply don’t believe most progressives actually care that Josh Duggar touched his sisters when he was 14. I don’t believe they are upset about it, or that it offends them, or that they are morally troubled by it. I don’t believe them. I just don’t."
This was the exact point I was trying to make at the beginning of this thread, and why I asked a pp if they actually watched the show, and if they did, why. I totally agree that nobody on here criticizing the duggars give a damn about what josh did, all they care about is acting outraged so they can talk about how they were right for hating them all along. It's really, really sad.
It's really, really sad that you're such an idiot.

Why am I an idiot? Because I'm too stupid to go along with whatever you say is right? If you are so much smarter, you'd write at least one reason why I'm an idiot, but all you did was +1000 to show you agree with someone else. How smart are you?
You are an idiot. No need to waste time justifying why. It's that obvious to everyone except you. Unlike you, most people have lives, so we don't need to make up reasons to justify your pathetic whining. Go get a life now, run along.
No, you're too stupid and immature to list one reason. You call names and then ask people to leave because you're not smart enough to have your beliefs challenged you're lazy and stupid. You think it's a waste of time to back up why you believe something? That tells me that you don't have the ability to do it. You're the pathetic one. Now go to bed and get some rest so you have enough energy to sit around on dcum calling people names tomorrow. It must take a lot of mental energy for you to spend so much time thinking up clever reasons not to back up your opinions with facts, so you need to get some rest.

Or are we going to keep bitching at one another?
I think they will move back to AK, they have no reason to stay where they are now that he quit his job that he moved here for. I'm not sure what tlc will do, probably cancel? Will the duggars even WANT to keep the show going? I doubt it kind of, but who knows. I think the family will be fine, they seem like they ar pretty resilient.

Anonymous wrote:But you see, PP who is so concerned about people trash talking the Duggars - this is the price you pay when you put your family on TV. It comes with the territory.
Anonymous wrote:Because someone didn't watch the show and generally find their religious views and political stances harmful means that our horror for the victims can't be sincere?
I am sincere in wishing to break those poor girls away from the cult that would force them to be subservient to these nasty men who teach them that boys doing disgusting to them is somehow their fault.
I'm not the poster you were asking to respond. But I'm pretty sure there are many like me.
Anonymous wrote:whatever. Just don't claim to know what everyone else thinks about the kids. There have been many, many expressions of support for the children, including Josh, but you claim that everyone here hates them all. Maybe you're not immature, but you just can't read. I don't really care. you are not interesting to me at all.

Hey PP,
I watched The Duggars for years. It was interesting to me because I am an only child with an atheist father and a mother who was raised religiously herself but never took me to church. Their story was interesting to me. Their lifestyle was interesting to me. Their family was interesting to me. I thought some of their ideas were outdated, but I also thought they were good people and pretty harmless. Dare I say I enjoye watching their family.
I am disgusted. I am outraged. I care about what Josh did to those little girls. I give a damn about what Josh did, and it isn't just because I want something to be outraged about. It's because what he did was wrong.

Very mature. Care to explain why I'm such an idiot, or is that too hard for you and I just am because you said so!![]()
Not that PP. Nope, not much to say in response. I think the Quiverful movement in general is extremely harmful to everyone in it. I think the Duggars are not a model family. I'm really sad for them, that that happened and that they chose to deal with it by starting a reality show. The poor girls and poor Josh. They were all let down by their parents.
I don't think you're being sincere, because if you really were sad for them, you wouldn't be participating in this conversation that is 90% negative comments and judgment about the family.
So, why are you here if you think it's only naysayers? You have no idea who's here, or why. If it's so objectionable to you to hear people disparaging the Duggars, why don't you start a thread of your own? The fact that you think that "progressives" don't care about the victims and are merely rolling around in glee is unbelievably immature.
