Silvia’s Italian Restaurant off of Southlawn in Rockville, MD. Loved the white pizza as a kid and the generous owners, Mosha and Silvia.

This is the taco place in McLean, right? I my gosh— my older brothers used to get mountains of food there way cheap when they were in high school. I’d forgotten about it.

Not far from there—Three Pigs. Soft serve ice cream seemed like such a treat.

Yes! I’d go there when I was in high school too. So tasty!!

Oh, yes. I've been thinking about their chimichangas lately. Such a good mild green chili sauce.

They are coming back this year. The founders son got permission from Hormel to use the name for physical store locations. He is going to have some of the old staples along with more modern mexican dishes in a more modern setting.

And yes to Chicken Out!

Oh, I miss Orleans House too!

I loved Chicken Out. I could get quick food that was healthier than most other faster food.

I forgot about Chicken Out. Quick, healthy food is what I miss about Zoe’s Kitchen too. I’m still sad it closed.

Yes!! To all of that. Also second Bistro Francais, Le Lion d’Or, La Chaumiere, Cafe Lautrec, Houston’s brunch in Georgetown mall, Booey’s in Georgetown, the little Greek take-out place on O St, Ten Penh downtown, 701, Zola, Pasta Mia, the Francesco Ricchi seafood place in 801 Penn, New Orleans Cafe, Cafe Atlantico, so many more

Was that Le Lion d’Or in Arlington? I had one of the best meals of my life there. That was a hidden gem.

Wasn't that place just a seedy bar? I lived near it for many years and went in once when friends from work and I decided to try to do a beer crawl in the restaurants/bars in Annandale. We got out of there fast.

My dh and I liked to hit Black Orchid once or twice a year. We loved Fritsbees and there was a restaurant near the movie theater on Little River Turnpike we loved. It became Caldwells for a short time but the restaurant it replaced was better. We liked to do brunch at a restaurant owned by an ex football player, was it Tim Westin's or something like that?
