Going to White Flint Mall with my mom shortly after it opened. I thought the glass elevator inside was so cool- just like the elevator in "The Towering Inferno."
Record World at White Flint. They had a whole wall of 45" records. I specifically remember buying a copy of Hall & Oates' "Maneater" there- early 80's

When "To Fly", the first IMAX film opened at the Air & Space Museum
When my high school (Sherwood High, Sandy Spring MD) gave students an excused absence to attend the Redskins SuperBowl parade in 1988 (my senior year in HS). And some of us actually did go downtown to see the parade.
Record World at White Flint. They had a whole wall of 45" records. I specifically remember buying a copy of Hall & Oates' "Maneater" there- early 80's

Popeyes walk up window near Chinatown. Loved that thick bulletproof glass when I walked up to the window.

End of the year school party at a classmate's farm. We played in her barn and peeked into the (old, no longer used) outhouse. Horses were grazing in the back field. Entire class had a picnic in her front yard.
hard to imagine, but this was West Springfield, 1974.

I remember him, too! Great guy. I remember Walt Whitman when it had the huge dome gymnasium. Also Pyle and Burning Tree elementary schools before they were redone.

Grew up on the corner of Whittier Blvd and Maiden Lane ......torn down and replaced by a McMansion
