Best news I’ve heard all week.

And how. Some of this has been posted already but it’s eye opening to see it all in one place. According to FEC Reports:
“The RNC is in absolutely dire financial straits, with some of the lowest yearly fundraising numbers and lowest cash on hand headed into a presidential year in decades.
Let's start with cash on hand. How bad is it?
- At $8M, it's less than half the COH as the DNC
- ALSO less than half the COH the RNC had in 2011 at this point against an incumbent
- 2024 GOP candidates have also burned through millions already, putting the nominee in an even weaker position.
The report gets worse:
- In real dollars, the RNC had its worst fundraising year since 1993
- The RNC also had its worst *month* for contributions in a decade
- And to cap it off, they had a December burn rate of 137%, and spent more money over the past year than they’ve taken in.
Meanwhile, the DNC outraised the RNC by nearly 3 to 1 and is sitting on more than twice as much cash on hand, helping to drive President Biden’s massive warchest.
So not great for the national party.
But GOP state parties, especially in critical battlegrounds, are also struggling, facing bankruptcy and mounting debts alongside leadership chaos and infighting ahead of 2024:
- North Carolina Republicans are going into 2024 $72K in debt while Democrats in the Tarheel state are sitting on a $3.7M war chest.
- In Arizona, MAGA extremist Kari Lake forced the state party chair to resign and is now being accused of blackmail while the party was on the verge of going broke.
- In Michigan the GOP is locked in a destructive leadership battle while the party also struggles with massive debts and defaults on a six-figure loan.
- The Nevada GOP’s commitment to the Big Lie is so deep that the sitting GOP chair has been indicted for his role in a fake electors scheme.
- The Colorado GOP faced eviction from its headquarters, and last spring for the first time in years couldn’t afford to pay staff.
- And in Florida, after their previous chair was ousted amid sexual assault allegations, a video has now emerged of their new chair being arrested for a DUI.
I also hear Missouri GOP are revolting against the Gov. I know that's a deep red state and won't matter for President but would love to know to full story. I bet MO isn't the only red state with GOP in fighting. They made this Frankenstein and now it's gotten loose.

Anonymous wrote:Broken and out of touch. The right wing bizarre conspiracy and reaction to Taylor Swift perfectly encapsulates how out of touch MAGA is with everyday Americans. Swift is by far the most famous, popular, successful, and discussed entertainer. The NFL is the most dominant source of entertainment in America.
MAGA continues to show us they are a shrinking movement, focused on weird things like Bud Light & Disney, anti-science like vaccines, anti-freedom like telling women what to do with their bodies and now it’s… a musician and a football player’s romance?
Last I checked none of those things lowered food prices, increased wages or improved quality of life.
By picking these culture war fights, this loud minority demonstrate how disconnected they are from typical American life.
