I've definitely had this thought
Oh, gosh. I am no Trump fan, but I hope this isn't the case.
No one wishes cancer on someone and I hope she’s well, too, but a competent staff would have a story. Betty Ford dealt with cancer in the WH. Melania would have had the well wishes from all as well as the expectation that she should take it easy and not do engagements.
"Well wishes from all"?? Yeah, right. You people have shown your true colors and the notion that you would wish any member of the Trump family "well," even under sad circumstances, is laughable.
Wtf? This thread is full of liberals who are genuinely concerned with her well being - and an a**hat of cons bent on pretending that this is totally normal! Don’t project your weird hatred on us. We’re worried about her. You aren’t.

"She has a public position?". WTF? she's married to the President, but she doesn't get a salary. The first lady's office gets a budget to deal with invitations and managing state dinners, but she could decline every public invitation and delegate all hostess decisions to her office staff. Do we really need the wife of the President to make flower, meal and decoration deciaions for State dinners? Fine if she likes doing it, but if not, then plenty of other people can (beside aspirational rrlatives like Ivanka).
IMO, she doesn't owe the USG one bit of her time or energy.
And I voted for Hillary! Twice!

It's time to lay the idea of First Lady to rest.
How is this a sign? All it's a sign of is that this president doesn't want to do the job he was elected to do, and neither does his wife.

Melania Trump Derangement Syndrome
The first lady—and her extended withdrawal from public view—have been weaponized. To what end?
“But for some detractors of her husband and his party, Melania Trump’s disappearance has provided fuel for all manner of wild conspiracy theories: She was physically abused by the president. She has given up on their marriage and moved back to New York. She is holed up with the Obamas. Though the curiosity may be genuine, the theorizing also reflects Melania’s role as a magnet for the fever dreams of tumult and chaos among Trump’s opponents.”
Awesome last phrase. Liberals are most definitely clinging to their "fever dreams of tumult and chaos." These are the people who truly hope for unrest and divisiveness in the U.S. In their tiny minds, the more chaos and infighting, the better. You can see that in exquisite detail here on this forum and it's pathetic.
