His discussion on NATO really hit a home with me. It's time to re-evaluate all these Cold War relics and have our junior "partners" start funding at least to their treat obligations. It would be great if they paid their fair share. The only obligation under article 5 is to provide what support each country deems appropriate up to and including military aid. It does not say each country must respond with military force.
It would be great if Trump paid his fair share in federal taxes. I pay about 25%. Maybe if he and rich people like him paid their fair share, we'd have more money to spend on veterans and other services. Maybe our debt wouldn't be so high. Does he ever think about that?

Lots of people watch only the first 20 minutes or so. He sounded good at the beginning, and if they turned the atv off after that, he came out strong.
I actually switched channels after the first 20 min because I was, surprisingly, embarrassed for him. I can't believe this is even a contest. I wouldn't blame Clinton one bit if she was smug or condescending about having to "debate" that complete joke of a candidate.
But maybe his grand strategy was to completely bomb the first debate so he could catch us all off-guard with his wit and intellect in the next one.![]()

He did ask. She answered.
I don't recall Holt asking her. Trump brought it up, and she brought out that same panned lie about "making a mistake." People who did less are in prison for it, but with Hillary....oh well, it's a mistake.
