Can someone help me figure out which episode I missed? here are the parts that seem to be missing:
* Mandy Moore all of a sudden is singing in the club? Don't know how that started or how it happened.
* Randall's "nervous break down." In last night's episode they showed "previously on this is us" and had a clip of Randall's wife talking to his bio father explaining about his nervous breakdown when she was pregnant. I don't remember that in any previous episode???
* Kevin and Sophie now being a couple. I saw the episode where they meet and she tells him she's dating someone. Next thing I know, (in last night's episode) she's calling him wishing him luck on his play and telling him it would be awkward for the family seeing them dating again.
That's all I can think of, but I think there were other things where the story line just skipped ahead for me. Anyone know if these things were covered and in what episode?

It appears to be bucolic suburbia but Kevin and Randall just dash to and from Manhattan, by car, sometimes more than once a day. Where is this mythical location? (Also, does it bother anyone else that was is supposed to be Pittsburgh and NJ/NY/Conn are obviously California?)
Also, seriously Randall doesn't call anyone else - only Kevin? Kevin can't call one of his family members to take care of Randall? Poor playwright/actor woman. But I agree with PPs, nevertheless, Kevin is somehow the best/most likeable character.
I'm still watching this show for the twists/flashbacks but losing some patience . . .
I agree. East Coast never looked so good before.
Kevin could have gone to help Randal after the play and should have sent someone else in the meanwhile. He did let down a lot of people by disappearing on them.

Also didn't like the ending, where the actress walks on stage and the brother dashes off. Heartwarming for sure, but totally fake.
I agree, they are dragging out the story of his death way to much.
I would also think that if Kevin had to run off he would have told someone there was a family emergency. Leaving the actress on the stage was a d*ck move that somewhat negates the good thing he did.
I agree that this felt manipulative by the writers of the show. Just tell us how he died already.
