Have you looked in the mirror? Last time I checked, under Dems, employment increases, GDP increases, we are the envy of the world in growth. Let's talk about today, a bill that increases the deficit by $4T, tax cuts for people making over $1M and tax increases for those making under $200k. Kicking 17M people off of Medicaid, most of whom are working. College grads can't get jobs, growth is slowing, prices have increased because of stupid tariffs, Rs are literally dragging people off the street if they are brown (and legal) and Dems are the party of destruction?

Oh, and if we suck so bad, why do Rs have to literally cheat (TX) to win?

And another thing, Rs are racist.

I can assure you that I don’t get my opinions of Democrats, their policies, their performance, or their personalities from Donald Trump! Or from Fox News. I know you think all non-Kamala voters are stupid racist cult members, but actually, people are souring on today’s Democrats in millions of uniquely personal ways.


Democrats who did not vote for Harris are largely to blame for our current situation. Full stop. With democracy and our rights on the line, it was not the time to make a point. Literally any democrat (or republican, for that matter) would have been far better than Trump. Withholding your vote was a vote for Trump and it was the wrong move. As long as Rs have zero standards for their candidates while Ds nit-pick and expect perfection, we will lose. To be clear, I wish both parties would strive for candidates who are the gold standard, but Rs do not seem remotely interested.

Here’s the thing I don’t understand about accusing dems of covid overreach. It was a global pandemic. The same response was happening all over the world, based on guidance from the too scientists around the world. I don’t know why dems should apologize or take the fall. I’m a teacher, and I am still feeling and seeing the consequences of kids missing so much school. Right now, my students are the “covid kindergarteners” and it is rough. I remember seeing my colleagues trying to teach those babies online and it was a very sad sight. But I remind myself that some of those kids might not be here if we had kept schools open. Or they would have experienced even more trauma by losing friends and relatives to covid.

I don’t think apologizing for these things is the answer. That would seem to imply that we were wrong. But I do think we need to do a MUCH better job of explaining and breaking things down for the voters.


it isn't true about Covid- kids were not being forced to mask and schools were open all over europe. especially after the vaccine was developed and napped was forced or fired. people got the vaccine b/c they didn't want to get sick. American people are ,morons- we have to be with the way that our government taxes us 4% less money for absolutely NOTHING in return compared to every other free, developed nation anywhere and we still keep voting for these people. wehavent had a competent president since Obama's first term. I don't refer him accomplishing/congress doing anything his 2nd term.

The customer is always right. We can either cling to our belief that WE are always right and the customers are wrong, or we can apologize for our past failures to give the customers what they want, apologize for disrespecting the customers, change our offerings, and try to earn back their business.

If we can’t even apologize, then they know we don’t intend to respect their wishes over our own beliefs going forward either.

Here is just a partial list of what swing voters and flyover state viters want us to apologize for:

1) Covid overreach. I know, I know, we f**king love science and the voters are stupid. It doesn’t matter. The voters reject our belief that we helped against Covid, and they are furious about forced masking of children, school closures, and forced injections on penalty of job loss. They were also very shaken by what they saw as our totalitarian streak. A lot of us were very cruel to neighbors and even family members. I know it will be very difficult psychologically for us to admit any fault here. We were on the right side of this, our intentions were good, etc. But so far basically none of us have said sorry to anyone for any of this. If we want swing voters back, we have to say sorry.

2) Illegal Immigration

3) Using affirmative action to harm white workers

4) LGBTQIA+ education in elementary schools. (I agree, it’s a good thing. It teaches kids tolerance. Rs make too big a deal of it. But remember, they are the customers. If we’re the “force unpopular things down your throat Party,” they won’t vote for us. We went too far (for THEIR liking), and for that, we should apologize

5) Inflation. Yes it was Covid, the Fed, and Trump’s fault too. But our team printed and borrowed and spent too much money.

6) Calling voters stupid racists

Think about it. We win’t like this prescription, but without it we can’t get the votes back

That group is the problem. If they stepped aside and let Black Christians run the party for a while, Dems (and the country) would be better off. There were some black Christians posting on here recently, but I think the Upper Middle Class Karens chased them off.

Not to mention the special election results in IA, OK, NY, VA, PA and WI, won by Democrats. Even the two ruby-red FL districts saw a big shift towards Democrats. It’s a little premature to start writing the party’s obituary.
