Taylor has been singing in symbols about Matty Healy for a long time, they have known each other for at least a decade but were publicly together for only a fortnight. There are dozens of songs from past albums that are about him, there are so many clues and references. She just decided to be more obvious in TTPD.

I enjoy several of the new songs (some much more than others), but one of my favorites is “Robin.” Strange how no one has mentioned it at all. Probably because it’s not about one of her past relationships, but instead about a child (I think Aaron Dessner’s son). It’s such a beautiful, sweet song that captures the innocence of childhood. Made me think of my (now adult) children and cry.
