Agreed. My daughter used Puma futures this past year which are multi-ground. I have found those to be very universal and made better than other brands for youth shoes like Nike or adidas.Anonymous wrote:Most shoes under size 4 are FG, TF or indoor. The rev turf is the newer designed turf and isn't the old AstroTurf the TF cleats are for. To minimize injury, AG is best as that's what it's designed for. IMO the next best for minimizing injury is FG, or you risk a fall injury in TF. It is slick when wet. Might as well be ice
I have gone down a few rabbit holes recently on this subject as there is too much coming out these days about torn ACL's especially for girls. It seems that you never want to use FG on artificial grass but can use AG on grass and artificial turf. While many of the fields around here are turf, I approach them as artificial grass as they are a bit grippier than the indoor stuff. The studs for FG and AG are noticeably different. For turf (basically carpet on cement, typically indoor), turf shoes are best but can use indoor shoes too, but may slip some. My kid is younger so I just use FG for grass, AG for artificial grass and indoor shoes for indoor turf and futsal. This is probably overkill, but youth shoes are not too expensive and I am getting really paranoid about her knees. I am not sure if others are as paranoid as I am but sharing a few thoughts for consideration and thoughts.Anonymous wrote:I've played games on the VRSC turf... if there is a hint of dew or rain, the surface gets super slick with turf shoes. Real (AG or even FG) cleats are recommended.
Anonymous wrote:Real question: do VRSC parents typically get their kids turf shoes in addition to cleats? They spend so much time on the turf. Just wondering if I should pick some up?

No, there is no need for turf shoes.

If VRSC was a sinking ship that's so horrible you wouldn't be in here. I enjoy the validation people are actually threatened or pissed their kid got stomped by VRSC kids or lost good coaches to the club.
Though with how much you love talking about the bar/drinking I'm assuming half of you are drunk writing troll responses. ðŸ«
I did have to chuckle.. there were responses on July 4. And I thought...awe such sad little men that they don't have friends or plans such that they have to spend time on their phones.
