I am still trying to figure out why so many people are so hot about Indy?


They have alot if talent in the 2025 and 2026 classes, multiple club players transferred there to play together. If they develop chemistry they will compete for titles the next two years. But, they have a reputation for how they behave on and off the field, so people like to jump on them quickly. Their talent level is deep though.


Head coach is an interesting dude that no one in the lacrosse community respects to include his own parents, opposing coaches, and refs alike. He has spent years building this reputation with his years coming up through Dulles South.

Marshall vs Yorktown is a good game if Yorktown leaves their 35+ upper classmen home waiting on Langley Monday and just plays their JV team.

It’s important to note that LCPS waivers differ from a VHSL waiver. The school district can grant a waiver, but VHSL governs all waivers for sports. So, acceptance of a waiver by a school does not guarantee a waiver in sports.

If you elect to go to another school as you enter HS as a freshman, you can attend that school and play sports. If your transfer schools after having played sports for 1 school, the rule is that you have to sit out a whole school year. Wasn’t there controversy over an Indy girls player who transferred in to play with her travel friends and coach, but wasn’t allowed to play. Why are the rules different for boys than girls?


Different situation. If you move into the school district it is fine. A girl was trying to get a waiver to play at Indy even though she didn’t live in the Indy district.

No doubt. Injuries seem to be derailing Riverside and Madison early on this year.
