Kavanaugh, Gorsuch, Barrett, Thomas and Alito will all burn in hell for the number of deaths they will cause with this ruling.

So what are the consequence for the ones who lied to congress and testified under oath this was settled law?

I would encourage you to read more about late-term abortions who has them and what they actually entail because it doesn't seem like you know the facts

I know someone who had to give birth to a dead baby. It was beyond horrible, and it has scarred her and her husband for life.

This will happen more and more when women can't have an abortion before viability, when life-threatening defects in the fetus are discovered.

Yes, it will. And the anti-women's health crowd will say too bad. Because they don't care about women. I went to Catholic school and I heard all about this in religion classes. They really, truly don't care about real people's lived experience.

They don’t care, at all. It’s all waved away, doesn’t matter. “Give it to God.” Forced birthers do not care about the kind of misery, pain, poverty and destroyed lives that they’re causing.

Will never forget the horrific story a nun once told us about a family with 5 children whose mother was told not to get pregnant again, she did, was told it would kill her, it did. "But that family just loved that baby." And then 6 children grew up motherless. I remember thinking "f that." What a terrible lesson to teach. That women are only important as vessels of gestation.

On the other hand, this will lead to the birth of more babies that will grow up to vote for Democrats.

Younger generations are also less sexually active. And have fewer babies.

This decision may affect one or more of those statistics. Or not.

DP. See earlier post. It's not true. People 18 to 29 are way way way more pro-choice than any previous generation

Pro choice about what issue? Pro abortion?

Pro access to safe abortion when wanted or needed. Are you anti that?

Oh i hope they do boil up. I hope the country implodes as a result of this .

There will be protests all across the country this summer.

More important, I pray this motivates millions of Democrats, Republicans and Independents to VOTE for Democrats in the midterms this fall.

STFU you total POS!!

those were fetuses, not "babies"

grow a brain and learn the difference

I've been pregnant 3 times. Not once did any of my doctors (male or female) refer to my pregnancy with the word fetus.

Mine did.

But sounds like your pregnancies were wanted. Sounds like you were willing to gestate them to term, to go through labor and delivery, to have your body changed, to accept the danger of pregnancy and birthing, and to take on the responsibility of raising children. Not all women accept those things, and no government should be able to force them to.

Those doctors did nit know what I was thinking or planning to do when they first saw me.

Noticed that you didn't address the question of other women not accepting the choice you made to undergo a potentially life-threatening process.

No, because that's not what I was addressing. I'll say it again, no doctor, female or male, ever referred to my "fetus."

So? Why should we care?

Women who want their pregnancies should have access to the medical treatments that will allow them to sustain them and give birth to a healthy baby.

Women who DO NOT want their pregnancies should have access to the medical treatments that allow them to terminate the pregnancy and have a full and healthy recovery.

Women who want their pregnancies, but come to find that their pregnancies will result in a child that is not viable outside of the womb OR that the pregnancy may jeopardize their life should have access to the medical treatments that allow th to terminate the pregnancy and have a full and healthy recovery.

PERIOD.

So sick of "prolifers" putting the "rights" of a pregnancy above those of a fully formed, independent adult woman.

You should care because describing a growing baby as "just a fetus" is not accurate. Of course, that's not saying you can't maintain your pro abortion stance anyway

It's a pro-access-to-safe-abortion stance. It's an anti-back-alley-abortion-as-only-option stance. Obviously you are against women obtaining safe abortions if that is their choice.

You anti-women's health people really don't care about women as human beings. Just come out and admit it, because we all know it.

Interesting emphasis on being able to obtain an abortion while in college.

Seems reasonable to me.

"Among undergraduate students, 26.4% of females and 6.8% of males experience rape or sexual assault through physical force, violence, or incapacitation."

It's horrific that a 6-3 majority thinks so little of precedent, of lying under oath, or of women's privacy rights. I had an abortion at age 22--so grateful I lived in a country (not the US) where abortion was safe and legal.
There will be A LOT of litigation surrounding this, since your right to an abortion will vary depending on where you live--denying you equal protection of the laws.

This is a right expressly written in the Constitution.
This is the argument that will make abortion safe and legal forever.

Yes because now women are enslaved to religious extremism; men are not subjected to this slavery.

Whoa whoa whoa—state decisis anyone?

The problem is that the reasoning behind Roe is fairly shaky.

The problem is that actual legal scholars on this thread have explained that once a right has been in place for 50 years, it’s not really shaky any more. You’re grasping at straws because you know how bad this looks.

This is objectively horrifying, but I just gotta laugh at you forced birthers. Some of you think you’ve won, but it’s started to dawn on some of you how horrible this is going to be and you’re feeling a little regret and a lot of trepidation about November.

Probably not for at least 20+ years when Democrats maybe can get a liberal majority back on the Court.

No, wrong.

Make a case that the SCOTUS can't rule the wrong way. It can happen with the right strategy.

What strategy do think will force the Court to rule a different way on abortion?
